GE³LS stands for Genomics and its related Ethical, Economic, Environmental, Legal and Social aspects.

• GE³LS research complements genomics projects by addressing questions that lie at the interface between science and society.
• GE³LS research is carried out by academic researchers from an ever-expanding range of perspectives and disciplinary backgrounds, including: social sciences, law, philosophy, bioethics, anthropology, business ethics, commerce, economics, environmental and conservation sciences, animal welfare, communications and journalism studies, political science and public policy.
