Every summer 1,000 trailblazing students spend 27-days at a Canadian university in seminars, labs and hands-on learning. This month-long program for students in grades 10 and 11 includes a real-world design challenge on issues such as food security, water management and waste.
Besides having the opportunity to broaden your network with like-minded youth through the design challenge, there are several hands-on STEAM-learning opportunities such as workshops, lectures from renowned professors, inspiring keynote speakers, and more.
International Baccalaureate students can qualify for the creativity aspect of CAS through Shad participation. Involvement in Shad also sets the stage for an effective Theory of Knowledge project and Extended Essay.
There is no cost to apply. The program runs July 5-30, 2021.
Deadline to apply: December 7, 2020 by 11:59 EST/ 9:59PM MST.
