In my newest Gerry’s Gene Scene video, I go down the information 'rabbit hole' seeking knowledge about the basic biology and genetics of seasonal colour change. This leads me to hare identification, horses wintering out and Siamese kittens. In this video, we explore adaptations and selection processes. We also look at the role of temperature-sensitive mutations and agouti genes in the regulation of coat colour and seasonal variation.
