If the video does not appear, follow this link

Recently I attended celebrations of the Heritage Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) program at the University of Calgary. This summer, 22 exceptional students with mentors from 5 university faculties were involved in cutting-edge research. I interviewed several students about their projects and the benefits of participating in the HYRS program.
  • Aneri Patel (Crescent Heights High School)
  • Sanchit Chopra (Western Canada High School)
  • Britney Wong (Crescent Heights High School)
  • Aaron Howe (Banff Community High School)
  • Andrew Thompson (Rundle College Jr. Sr. High School)
  • Mehul Gupta (Sir Winston Churchill High School)

Britney’s work on Hypertension is already posted on the website of the World Hypertension League Organization. Aaron Howe and Mehul Gupta are recipients of the Genome Alberta Award at previous regional science fairs.
